Uncorked

A blend of everything happening at once. The way life actually works.

The soap opera that doesn't know it's a soap opera

The Blend

In winemaking, a blend is greater than its parts. Cab Sauv needs Merlot. Structure needs softness. The magic happens in the mixing.

Uncorked works the same way. A harvest event bleeds into a filmmaker's meltdown bleeds into a visiting sommelier bleeds into a cellar worker's side quest. Nothing exists in isolation. The glue between moments is the whole point.

Some episodes center on actual winery happenings. Bottling day, a critic's visit, equipment failures that become legends. Others follow the film fellows as they document everything and slowly lose their minds. Sometimes a guest wanders through and changes everything (thanks, Nance!). It's less a show and more a living thing.

The Art & The Science

(Spoiler: They're weirdly similar)

🍷 Winemaking

The Art:

Knowing when to pick, blending intuition, terroir expression, generational wisdom passed down through side-eye and sighs

The Science:

pH levels, malolactic fermentation, brix measurements, temperature control, spreadsheets that would make your head spin

The Gamble:

Weather, critics, market trends, waiting years to know if you got it right

🎬 Filmmaking

The Art:

Story structure, emotional beats, visual poetry, finding truth in chaos

The Science:

Frame rates, color grading, sound mixing, algorithmic distribution, explaining to your parents what you do

The Gamble:

Audience reception, festival politics, viral moments, career-defining decisions made at 2am

The Uncorked Approach

Harvest, bottling, tastings, tours gone sideways. The natural rhythm of Far Niente becomes the backbone.

👥

Filmmaker Threads

The Vintage Fellows documenting it all, becoming part of the story whether they like it or not

🌪️

Guest Features

Sommeliers, critics, industry people, interesting strangers who add new notes to the blend

🎥

The In-Between

The connective tissue. Side conversations. Waiting around. The moments that make it feel real.

Distribution as Content

(Where the magic actually happens)

📺

CTV Programming

If it keeps someone intrigued for 3 minutes, serve it up. Brand recognition via actual entertainment. What a concept.

📱

Organic Social

Moments designed to travel. Characters people get invested in. The kind of thing you send to a friend.

💰

Paid That Makes Sense

Episode trailers as pre-roll. Boosted posts with actual content worth boosting. The rare instance where paid amplifies something real.

📅

Cadence & Rhythm

Weekly drops, seasonal arcs, event tie-ins. Old school programming logic meets new platforms.

The Uncorked Promise

A show where things happen together, the way they do in real life. Blended, not separated.

🍇 Real winery moments, not staged tours
🎭 Natural drama (no spoilers but someone will cry)
🔗 Everything connected to everything else
The glue matters more than the pieces
